Alison Obenauf, Environmental Technologist, Associate
Alison graduated from Georgian College with a diploma in Environmental Engineering Technology and has over ten years of experience as an environmental technologist. Currently at SVI, Alison plays a role as part of our technology assessment team, for which she assumes the lead role in project management for key files. She designs, prepares and manages clients’ public funding proposals, demonstrating a depth of knowledge and understanding of technologies, business case development and planning, project development and management, and strategic partnerships to successfully secure funding for Cleantech companies. Alison uses her project management skills to complete project within the scheduled time period with high quality results.
Alison has developed SVI’s client communication protocols and instills this discipline in all SVI’s client’s projects. She assists in the implementation of the communication protocols and the documentation of the outcomes. She is one of the main liaisons between SVI personnel and the clients. She has extensive experience in writing technical reports, work plans, standard operating procedures (CAEAL and ISO documentation), quality manuals, training programs, proposals, and experimental and analytical methods. She has experience in the environmental engineering field and has extensive knowledge on the technologies associated with the remediation of both soil and water. Alison has prepared and performed several audits (water, environmental compliance, energy, and waste audits) for numerous government clients including Environment Canada, Public Works and Government Services, and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
Sarah Harrison, Environmental Consultant
Sarah has an undergraduate degree in biology from Trent University, and a master’s of chemical and environmental toxicology from the University of Ottawa. She has over six years of laboratory and reporting experience in R&D. Sarah is an experienced technical writer, including all stages of research proposals and reporting. She has a wide variety of research experience in chemistry, environmental remediation, and biology. Sarah has worked with federal clients to design, manage, and successfully secure funding for scientific R&D projects. Currently, Sarah plays a role as part of the technology assessment team at SVI, for which she assists in the development of project plans, work plans, and budgets.
